Christmas break!

First semester is over! we are nearly done with the new testament, and the letters of Paul are long gone. It was a good start, I feel exited and a bit anxious to take on the Old testament with way bigger books and less time, but on the other hand I am so exited to get to know more about the history, more about god's character, more about the people of Israel and more about God's never ending love for his children.
the last month we did a lot of smaller books and also the corinthians, this was cool, but also confusing as the books tend to get mixed up in my brain, but I think the biggest thing I learned through al these letters written to people in persecution, learning about perseverance and joy in trials and being steadfast no matter the circumstance, I got this revelation that; we always complain to god when stuff in our life goes wrong, we have this debate of whether or not god lets us go through stuff or if he gives us trials, but all that aside, we inflict way more pain on ourselves when we sin and walk away from god, we damage our heart and it is hardened- something that is a way bigger hurt and pain that nay one could ever inflict on us in the physical, even torture, because the body is temporary [James 4:14], but the heart or the spirit will last for eternity, so what right do we have being mad at God for physical trials, when they actually help heal our heart which we have damaged, and grow us closer to God our father who loves us, this we know!"Jesus loves me this I know for the Bible tells me so"

Christmas break:
all though I have had a great time studying I must say it was good to have a break! some time to do whatever, and just be, without too much brain activity:P
we started the break with a bonfire at the beach and then I took one of my friends; Helen, from the SBS down to the Gold coast with me to celebrate christmas with my grandparents, aunt and uncle and my little 5 year old cousin, It was so great, and really wonderful to be around family during christmas, I drove back up to the coast the 27th and have just been resting, doing craft watching movies, playing guitar and harmonica, just chilling and re-charging :)
tomorrow is new years eve and we might do a bonfire again at the beach, they're so great :P

I hope you all had a great Christmas! thanks for all support!
